YES, there is synthetic transformation produced in the lab in 2 steps.

1st step is preparation of tartarate salt of 1,2-diamino cyclohexane. Glacial acetic acid used as weak acid catalyst where water soluble tartaric acid reacts with starting material 1,2-diamino cyclohexane to produce its tartarate salt.

2nd step involve reaction of produced tartarate salt with 2,3-Di-tert-butylsalicylaldehyde in ethanol solvent in presence of K2CO3 as catalyst.

Final synthesized product is yellow in color but where desired product obtained or not it can confirm the spectral analysis.
