In mastectomy , removal of lymph nodes and radiation therapy were given to the respective armpits increase the risk for lymphedema ( edema due to lymph fluid). So infection due to any cuts or briuses or pressure develop such complications.
In here, double mastectomy had done to the patient, and so blood pressure can be obtained from legs in prone position.
If mastectomy is done without the removal of lymph nodes no contraindications to check blood pressure from the arm.
