Answer #1

Order.

Propafenone.

Initial dose = 150 mg every 8 hourly.

On every 3 rd day 50 mg is increased per dose.

Dose after one week= ?

There are 24 hours in a day ,and the drug when given every 8 hourly it takes 3 time to complete the dose of one day.

On day one= 150 mg * 3 dose ( Day 1.)

= 450 mg/ day

On second day = 150 mg * 3 ( Day 2).

= 450 mg/day

On third day= 200 mg* 3 ( 50 mg/ dose is increased every 3rd day)

= 600 mg/day

On forth day = 200 mg * 3 ( same as 3rd day)

= 600 mg/day

On fifth day = 250 mg * 3 ( 50 mg/ dose is increased every 3rd day)

= 750 mg/ day

On sixth day = 250 mg* 3 ( same as 5th day)

= 750 mg/ day

On seventh day = 300 mg * 3 ( 50 mg is increased every 3rd day)

= 900 mg/ day

After one week the dose will be 300 mg every 8 hourly

And 900 mg / day.
