Individuals use a number of power techniques in everyday situations to force or incite people into a particular action. There are plenty of power tactics examples that are popular every day and used. Some of these strategies include threatening, communicating, moaning, denouncing, challenging, disengaging, evading, encouraging, manipulating, compromising, socializing, arid supplication. It is necessary for us to consider and recognise the various types of strategies of power that exist. The interesting thing is that once we define and address them, you'll start to notice them in your place of business a lot more.

Coalition Helping other people in the group back up the request / mediation Use of negotiation by sharing rewards or favors.
Assertiveness Use of a clear and aggressive approach such as requesting compliance with the request, repeating reminders, telling individuals to do what is requested, and pointing out that compliance is needed.
First, managers who control resources valued by others, or who have perceived themselves to be in dominant positions, use a wider range of tactics than those with less power. Second, managers with a higher frequency use assertiveness than those with less control. Managers vary their tactics of power with respect to their goals. We tend to rely on kind words and the development of friendly relationships when managers try to benefit from a superior; that is, we use friendliness. The performance goals of the director drive his or her tactics selection.
