Answer #1

Answer of the question no.10::

The complete reaction of Propane(C3H8) with oxygen is given by, C3H8 + 5O2 = 3CO2 + 4H2O

From the above reaction,it is clear that 1 mole propane requires 5 moles of O2 for complete reaction.Hence, for the complete reaction of 4 moles of propane, (4×5)=20 moles of O2 will be required.

Answer of the question no. 11:

4KO2 + 2H2O + 4CO2 = 4KHCO3 + 3O2

From the following reaction,it is quite obvious that 4 moles of CO2 completely reacts with KO2(potassium superoxide) and H2O(water) to produce 3 moles of O2.

hence, 4 moles of CO2 are required to form 3 moles of O2

Thus, 2.94 moles CO2 will produce = 2.94 × 3/4 = 2.205 moles of O2.

Answer of question no. 12:

NHA NO3 = N₂O + 2H₂O Molecular wt 80 44 (g/mol 36 ... To produce, 44 g. of No require 80 g. of NaNO3 g. NO = 80 g. NH4N
