Consider the two compounds, Agl(s) and CuCO3(s). One of the these is more soluble in acid solution than in water.which one and in a brief statement explain why?

CuCO3 ( s ) is more soluble in acid solution than water .

Supporting reaction in water and acid solution are given as following .since equilibrium constant of second reaction is greater in case of acid solution ; CuCO3 ( s ) has to solubilise more in case of acidic solution.

For carbonic acid Ka1 is order of 10–7 and Ka2 is order of 10–11.In H₂O - Cu Coas t (aq, + CO a lang como maes + M0 = 460 out on me Ko = К. — К . w -14 10 = -11 In Acidic solution - 2P 2 2-
