Some people like to speak more than the listen. Describe why this may not be a good trait to have and cite examples.

        * Speaking more than listen during communication is not good because

                       * To make effective communication partcipation of both individuals

                          who are included in the communication process is needed.

                       * If one person talk continuosly and other person not get enough time

                         talk which result in poor conveying of message.

                       * If one of the communicator is not an active listener then that type of

                         communication can not solve the problems or requirements of other

                         person.

                      * Poor listening skills during communication result in misunderstanding

                        of messages during communication.

   Examples

           * During therapeutic communication between a nurse and patient who is anxious

             about her disease and cost of health care.the nurse begin to educate about treatment

             options and do not listen or give opportunity for explain the mental problems of the patient

             which result in ineffective communication and negatively affect the recovery process.

           * A hospital conduct debate about advantages and disadvantages of application of

              advanced technology in health care field and one group of people start to speak

              continously and not allow the other group to express their views which affect the

              continuation of the program.
