Ans) Firstly all the drugs prepared and loaded in syringes, the syringes should be labelled with date, time, drug name strength. This is mandatory.

- In the above situation, to relieve the surgical technologist in the scrub role and start the case, the surgical technologist should have labelled all the mediations & then pass on the over to the next staff & then get relieved.

- As in this situation, the procedure hasn't started & patient is vulnerable as age is 10, we cannot take risk. We can just call the surgical technologist and tell him to label if not then discard all the mediations prepared & prepare another set of medications with labels.

- Strictly no medication should be administered without label as the other staff will not know the medication prepared until it has label on it & administrating such medications without labels can lead to medication error morever can deterior the patient condition.
