So, the social, economic, political, legal and ethical influences the health policy as well as the nursing practice. To understand this there is a concept of PEST, which mainly focuses on the factors influencing the care i.e. Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, Legal and Industry levels. These factors influence the organization and nursing practice. Many of the social implications does not allow the nurse to work accordingly.

The nurse educator mainly focus on the teaching aspiring nurses about patient care. They are often responsible for developing a curriculum and teaching using lectures or lab/clinical work. They look after the nurses and guide them about the patient care and welfare. They are mainly responsible for the various training and development duties in a healthcare facility.
