Answer: Efficacy refers to the degree to which a drug is able to produce maximal effects, efficacy measures the therapeutic effectiveness of the drug in humans. Efficacy depends upon the number of drug receptors complexes formed and coupling of the activation of the receptors. Whereas potency can be defined as the strength of the drug.
