Conflicts of interest refers to a difference of opinion on a single aspect. This can arise in all fields, but this can be an issue if it arises in the health care sector. The nurse are expected to solve this in the following manner mostly

  • They are the heart of patient care ,so they need to be proactive enough to recognize and identify the conflicts in its early stage and take necessary actions to prevent any complications arising out of it.
  • They need to listen first before commenting and landing up in arguments by providing rationalized answers
  • In order to avoid situations like this an effective communication is necessary because a break in communication can lead to misunderstanding and conflicts
  • Try to collaborate with the co workers to resolve conflicts
  • Nurse nurse conflicts can be minimized by adequate training, protocols of an organization and communication strategy
  • Nurse patient conflicts can be reduced by nurses being more empathetic and providing evidence based care .Developing a state of trust on nurses by patient can greatly reduce the conflicts.
