EXERCISE 5.3: The S/N ratio for a set of measurements is 7. If you take 10 times more data, what is the S/N ratio? If you take 100 times more data, what is the S/N ratio? EXERCISE 5.4: Statistically, 99% of all measurements should lie within + 2.S standard deviations of the mean. Consider Example s.3 and repeat the S/N ratio calculation in that example using this alternate criterion. Explain any differences you observe in the calculated S/N ratio.
