On the whole, do you believe that personal health technology—wearables, apps, and the like—based on data collection will be most beneficial, detrimental, or neutral in its effect on your work in health care? Why? If your view is dim, what would it take to improve it?

Technology has been used widely in health and social care in contemporary world. It is seen that the use of technology in form of devices, equipment, diagnostic aids and record keeping equipments is done widely in ehalth settings today.

The technological use in health care may be it in form of the wearable devices, electronic health recording system or diagnositic equipment proves to be ebenficial for the clients and the servic eprovider both. The use of electronic health recording system is well incorporated in health service settings today, this is because various examples and researches have identified its benefits for both clients and professionals. The use of EHR system helps in simplifying the work for nurses, reducing manual work load, provides better documentation and storage of records and ease in working. Similalry, these system provides easy access to health records for future instances and user friendly approach.

Similalry, use of wearable electonic equipments has helped in caring for patients with diseases such as dementia, schizophrenia and Alzheimers. The individual suffering with these diseases have short memory issues and difficulty in remembering things, these wearable sensor devices helps in locating them and safegaurding them.

Moreover, the use of diagnostic aids have been a great breakthrough in health care. The diagnosis using these technologies have proved to be highly beneficial and to the point and provided early intervention and prevention for several diseases leading to enhanced care.

Hence, it can be concluded that the use of technology in health care as per my opinion is highly beneficial and effective. I feel the use of technology can be done more aptly and can be involved in high end care.
