Order dose of Amoxicillin is 0.25 g p.o. every 8 hour and available tablet is of 125 mg.

First we will convert 0.25 g into mg

since,

lg = 1000mg ::.0.25g = 1000 x 0.25 = 250mg

now 1 tablet contain 125 mg, so for 250 mg dose, the number of tablet will be calculated as

1/125 = 1/250 125.r = 250 = I= 250/125 = 2.1 = 2tablets

Hence nurse will give 2 tablets per dose.
