Answer #1

Type II diabetes is also called as non insulin dependent diabetes. Here there will be insulin production in the body but it will not have a driving factor to make it available to the body when need.In simple after eating the glucose will be produced in the body and released in the blood. This glucose as to reach the concerned body cells for forming energy. This is possible and is the major work of insulin to push it out from blood cells to target organ or place. If there is no adequate insulin then this work will not happen resulting in stagnation of glucose in blood leading to increased blood sugar level called as diabetes. As the energy is not produced it leads to severe fatigue, alters the metabolism by increasing fluid intake, trying to push out excess glucose through urination (polyuria) and increases the appetite to eat more(polyphagia)

It is becoming more prevalent because of the poor lifestyle like no physical activity or exercise, unhealthy fastfood availability, excess body weight, lack of screening at the right time.

Some of the recommendations to be given to the family members who has just been do with type 2 diabetes are

  • Educate about the dietary modifications
