5.Some of the other technical factors which can be done with multiple myeloma are

  • MRI can detect the cells which are affected and myelomatic .This dies not use the X Ray's for diagnostic puroose
  • CT can be used to find the growth or new abnormal cells.
  • PET scan can detect the level of the disease intensity, metastasis in to other organs
  • Molecular testing can be done to provide the appropriate treatment with the results available
  • Blood test can be used to find out te presence of any antibody against it.

6.A patient who has multiple myeloma cannot be given dye or contrast media during a procedure because it can cause renal damage or acute renal failure.The use of iodine as contrast in these patients can lead to post contrast acute kidney injury.
