Question about chapter 66 11e caring for client with burns. Describe the difference between the pathophysiologic changes in thermal chemical ,and electrical burns
Pathophysiologic changes
The pathophysiology of the burn wound is characterized by an inflammatory reaction leading to rapid oedema formation,
because of expanded microvascular penetrability, vasodilation and expanded extravascular osmotic action.
Electrical burns
An electrical burn is a burn that results from electricity passing through the body causing rapid injury. Likewise, a fire that is ruled to be "electrical" in origin, does not necessarily mean that any injuries or deaths are due to electrical burns.
