Absorbance = 2 - log(%T)

Answer a)

Absorbance of dilution = 2 - log(62.8) = 0.167

Absorbance of Blank = 2 - log(98.9) = 0.005

Corrected absorbance of dilution = 0.167 - 0.005 = 0.162

Answer b)

M/A = 0.024 M/0.162 = 0.148

Answer c)

Absorbance of unknown = 2 - log(38.1)

= 0.419

Corrected absorbance = 0.419 - 0.005 = 0.414

Answer d)

Molarity of unknown = (M/A)*Absorbance in c)

= 0.148 * 0.414

= 0.061 M
