I will recommend Convenience samplng method for this type of study.Convenience sampling is the easiest method of sampling because participants are selected based on availability and willingness to take part. Useful results can be obtained, but the results are prone to significant bias, because those who volunteer to take part may be different from those who choose not to (volunteer bias), Here the samples are selected based on availability. This method is used when the availability of samples is difficult. This method is most appropriate as we can't have any prior information about emergency department visitors . We also have to screen them according to their willingness to take part in our study.In an emergency most people may not be in a good mood to participate in a study.   So ,researchers have to select samples based on the convenience.
