Answer: Time management is very important in every profession specially in the nursing. As nurse not only involve in taking care of the patients but also they perform multiple tasks. So, time management is very necessary for the nurse leader. Things and task done on time brings lots of productivity and positive outcomes whereas poor time management lead to negative outcomes, decreased productivity and satisfaction. Due to poor time management all the works left pending.

The nurse leader manages time by utilising the skills as:

• Self assessment: A nurse leader perform self assessment to ensure that how much work load per day can be easily managed within given time. It is a kind of self evaluation of tendency to do work.
• Preparation in advance: To manage time effectively, all the plans and the work should be prepared in advance. As it saves more time and bring positive outcomes.
• Controlling meetings: Nurse leader has to perform many task out of which they have to manage the meetings or the performance outcome consideration. To minimise the extra burden meetings can be controlled.
