After three weeks as assistant administrator of a medical group practice, Jessica Montgomery spends the weekend pondering how to deal with some events that happened at work. The job was all she hoped it would be-she worked in a highly regarded practice and felt professionally challenged and up to the job. She was disturbed, however, by some of the interactions with one of the physicians in the practice, Dr. Curtis Sanford. Dr. Sanford is a well-respected physician who has been with the practice for almost 20 years. During Jessica's first week, he made a number of sexually suggestive remarks to Jessica that she felt were unprofessional and demeaning. Because she did not want to stir up trouble or seem overly sensitive, she chose to remain silent. On Friday of her third week, Jessica had lunch with two female coworkers, Maria and Denise, who verified that Dr. Sanford tends to pick on new female employees. "When the next female employee is hired, Dr. Sanford will stop this behavior and transfer it to the new girl. Just give it some time," said Maria. However, Maria and Denise also noted that several highly competent female employees had left after only two weeks on the job. Although Jessica understands that this may be a form of sexual harassment, she believes that she can live with the situation until it ends. However, she also feels a legal and ethical obligation to put an end to this physician's behavior. As of Sunday night, going into her fourth week, Jessica is still not sure how to deal with this situation.

It is the duty to report this to the management. Every healthcare sector has a sexual harassment addressing team and sorting it because this act will affect the morale of any institutions.

Taking action against a well known reputed physician always forms a query whether to do or not.Information like hospital policies ,hospital bylaws,punishment for the act as to be known in prior to handle the situation effectively

A written complaint usually a form is filed and submitted to the concerned authority with or without the name of the complainant .It is kept confidentially and the concerned person will be under vigilance by the management. If found guilty warning is given,if it affects the hospital morale and the reputation according to their policy the physician can be suspended for misconduct behaviour. It will be then addressed to the National physician data bank.To an extent how reputed a physician may be continuous behaviour like this may even lead to cancellation of the practicing licence.

Reporting this can even solve the problems faced by others in the hospital and prevent any future incidents like this.
