What is something that you have learned that you did not know before?
There are many things which I wasn't aware of before. For example - we can actually make delicious fruits with seedless plants; making of overall a different organism from animal hybridization; diagnosis and prevention of diseases with the help of Human Genomic Project, and what not.
What are the most important concepts, points, and topics you learned that you can take with you into your field/career?
My career field is Biotechnology. The core concept behind this vast field is Biology or more broadly speaking "Science". The most important topics that I have covered are Recombinant DNA technology, Genomics, Cell cultures, and Tissue Engineering. What I have gained all through these is that "How can we make our lives better" in terms of disease protection, prevention, early diagnosis, and the ultimate goal is to lead a healthy and stress-free life. Later on, I realized that all other fields - be it Physics, Chemistry, Economics, etc. are interdependent and share the goal of "better lifestyle and improved healthcare". I learned the beauty of my field.
What are your thoughts about how you can apply all the information gained?
Because I belong to a biotechnology field, I have a perspective of looking at things and relate it with healthcare. I really appreciate the beauty of biotechnology and really amazed that when biology meets with technology, it has overall immense importance in improving healthcare conditions and saving lives.
