Answer: False positive is a result which occured when there should be the result of negative. This means it is an error which usually occurs while in research testing, experimental testing etc. For example, getting positive result for pregnancy, when you are not pregnant in actual.

The genetic test reveals about our ancestry information. The false positive generally occurs in genetic testing, as due to some alterations in the sample collection or any event. This causes false positive results usually. It has been found that near about 40% of the genetic test are found to be false positive. The inaccuracy in the results causes false positive. Sometimes while testing, negligence, not following proper procedures also results in the false positive.
