WHAT ARE ACCENT SYLLABLES? A syllable that is stressed in pronunciation is called accented syllable.

27. GLUCAGON - It is divided into three syllables ( glu/ ca/ gon) but the accented syllable in glucagon is "GLU".

Glucagon is a naturally occurring hormone. It is produced in the pancreas. Its main function is to react to a situation where there is a low level of blood sugar present. The release of this hormone into the blood stream helps to restore blood glucose levels to a normal state.

29. TESTOSTERONE - The accented syllable is "TOS"
