Both Hospice and palliative care provides comfort to the patient.

Hospice care starts after the treatment of disease is stopped, when it is clear the recovery chances of patient is very less. But palliative care can begin at diagnosis, and at the same time as treatment.

Hospice care is saved for at death's door patients when treatment is never again therapeudic during the most recent a half year of life. Palliative consideration can be utilized while the patient is proceeding with dynamic treatment through various periods of their life constraining condition.

Examples of palliative care:-These include cancer, cardiac disease such as congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), kidney failure, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and many more.
