The nurse should consult with the supervisor and approach the individual in a clear and supportive way by helping the individual to access appropriate resources. The nurse must advocate in case of impairment for appropriate assistance, treatment and institutional and legal assistance. The individual should inform the higher officials regarding the impairment even if it is sorted out or help is given. The nurses who have reported regarding the professionals who has caused threat should be protected from negative consequences.
