Diagnosis;

Small pocket like structures form in the walls of pf the intestines. Small intestine pushes the contents through the weal point in the walls of the large intestine.

Causative factors

Modern diet rich in refined carbohydrates, More red meat, smoking, Aging, less fiber in diet, irregular bowel movements, over weight, some medicine side effect etc

Symptoms:

Cramps

pain

constipation or diarhoea.

condtions to be ruled out or irritable bowel syndrome or peptic ulcer.

Examination include

CT scan

X ray

Colonoscopy

Digital rectum exams

Intervention:

High fiber diet

Regular bowel movements

Pain killers

probiotics in diet

Negative outcome:

Diverticulitis

Hemorage from poches

perforation

Abcess.

Evaluation;

Weight monitoring

Fiber intake

ecamination if required
