What have you heard about genetic testing in the media? For example, has DNA testing played a key role in solving a crime? Determining the paternity of a child? What do you see as the pros and cons of genetic testing in these situations?
Genetic testing
The word ' Genetic ' related to genes or the genetic makeup of a specific individual or species. Genetic testing is called as DNA testing , and this medical test is used to find out the sequence of DNA or the structure of chromosome, any changes in genes or chromosome etc. It also used to rule out a genetic condition or genetic disorder and the possibility of inheriting it to the offspring.
DNA testing in solving crime
DNA ( Deoxyribonucleic acid) , is the hereditary material or the long molecule that contains the genetic code, that is unique for each person. It became a forensic technique , is used in many crime investigations to check the suspect's involvement in crime.
DNA testing in a crime investigation is first used in 1986. DNA samples can be collected from the crime scene, such as hair, blood stains, saliva , semen or semen stains etc. This samples can use for DNA profiling and can reveal the involvement of a suspect, if it matches with his DNA.
Reports show that in the year 2018 , Police could reveal the criminals of 28 murder and rape cases in US. DNA testing to reveal the involvement of a suspect is of great use in proving the criminal's involvement.

you have heard about three different vectors to clone DNA fragments (plasmids, BACs, and YACs).
