Media plays a central role in delivering the important information to the public license through various sources as it reaches faster among the public. Many reformation and policy changes are made accessible to public knowledge through this system. Likewise, there are many news related to healthcare hitting news channels and newspapers on daily basis. Amongst such information, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act enacted by the federal government of United States in 2010, by the former president Mr.Barack Obama had been published so well with regular updates on the policy had also been brought into knowledge by the media.

Addressing issue -

The policy was established to reform the health insurance policy available for the Americans. As, there were numerous people in America with lack of health insurance or a health insurance which does not make any useful role to receive healthcare services.

Solution -

The policy makes regulations in a such a way, that people can get the maximum health coverage along with subsidies. It also focussed on expanding Medicaid program to people with low income and disabilities.

Intention -

The intention behind the policy making helps the Americans to receive healthcare services with easy access and quality in outcome for all the age groups as well as dependents, people with disabilities, low economic groups, old age people and children.

Goals -

To make access to healthcare services under insurance policy

To reduce cost burden on public

To protect the patient's from arbitrary action by insurance companies

To reduce the disease burden by implementing preventive health care services to public

Consequences -

Increase in tax on people with high income by the federal government to provide health care coverage throughout the country

Making insurance compulsory and if not registered then enforcing them to pay tax as punishment

Many employees lost employee based health insurance

High burden on healthcare because of early detection through preventive healthcare

Huge burden on workforce because of increase in demand
