Registered nurse are one who follows the patient order whereas nurse practitioner prescribes for a patient care.

Some of the strategy for a successful transition from RN to NP are

  • The RN who is experienced and the same RN being a novice as NP is a bigger transition .They should be able to handle stress,continue patient service ,learning from the seniors,officials and physician in gaining knowledge in regards to patient's medical condition and its treatment. Overcoming this is the first strategy of successful transition
  • The patients when gets a confidence,support, belief on the role ,responsibility and functions of a NP and feels relaxed ,trusts during their treatment is a successful transition from RN to NP
  • The NP staying updated in the current practices and advancement and called for services from various source is indicating a successful transition from RN to NP
