REASON FOR BACK PAIN AFTER AN ACCIDENT:

In most of the car accidents, neck and back injuries are quiet common cause occur due to Whiplash ( a jerking movement ). During a vehicle crash, the speed and force creates a dramatic acceleration or decceleration that the body is not prepared for. As a result, aches, pains, ruptures, cracks, fissures and other ailments can occur. In most of the cases, physician orders MRI scan and CT myelogram to confirm the diagnosis. MRI scan used to suspects a disc herniation, disc injury or compression of a nerve of the spinal cord whereas CT scan with myelogram used to diagnose neck pain that does not respond to treatment. The reason why physician has ordered both MRI and CT scan myelogram is because they are similar to each other but MRI's can show and be used to diagnose disorders or diseases not shown on CT scans.
