presents for a 1 day
history of pain in his left shoulder. The pain is localized to the
anterior aspect and is sharp any
time he moves his arm too far. He felt a sharp stabbing pain during
a game yesterday after
throwing the ball from 3rd base to 1st base. He had to come out of
the game as he was unable
to throw the ball after that due to pain. He denies any prior
injury to the shoulder. The pain is an
8/10 when he moves it certain ways and a 2/10 if he is at rest. No
radiating pain or numbness or
tingling into his hand. He has iced it and taken Ibuprofen for the
pain. He has no other
significant past medical history.
