It is a bottom-up participatory process ,using multiple community channels,it seeks to involve community leaders and the commnity at large in addrsssing a health issue,becoming part of the key steps to behavioural or social change or practicing a desired behaviour.it helps in empowering individuals to find their own solutions.it seeks to promote community empowerment by developing skills that can be used beyond addressing the specifc problem or health issue.it relies on peoples power to involve the upper hierarchial levels of society and to develop collaborative efforts to address community -specific issues.
