Answer #1

Prescribed aggrastat to be infused at rate of 6mcg/kg/hr

Patient's weight = 100 kg

As per weight of patient required dose= 100 X 6= 600 mcg/hr= 0.6 mg /hr

Available Aggrastat = 12.5 mg in 250 ml

1 mg= 250/12.5= 20 ml

hence 0.6 mg will contain= 0.6X20= 12 ml

Hence 12 ml/hr should be the rate in ml/hr
