  • Legislature is considered as the major and prime source of law in the contemporary era of democracy. It formulates the policies and laws in a state and provide it a legal character. Legislature forms policies and laws in a procedure of 5 steps. These 5 steps involve agenda setting, formulation of policy, adoption or decision making in context to policy, implementation and evaluation of the policy. The first stage involve the conversion of issue into an agenda for the policy making bodies. Formulation involve the proposal of solutions in context to the issues mentioned in the agenda. Policy adoption involve the adoption of policy by various government authorities so that it can be implemented further. Policy implementation involve the policy to be put into effect and policy evaluation is a concept of entrenching the policy over time for its success or failure.
  • Public health: Public health is considered as the health of an entire population. This is primarily a subject of government support and regulations. It strives to improve health and public safety through policy making, research and education.
  • I consider public health as an unresolved societal problem as it revolves around some serious social issues that are preventable in nature. Some of the public health issues involve concepts such as gaming addiction, residential fires, poverty, child mental health, elder abuse, bed bugs and violence against women. These are basically examples of social issues that needs to be tackled through effective policies and steps.
  • Bioethics are basically related to the questions or issues that arise in the concepts of biotechnology, life science, medicine, politics, philosophy, and law theology. Bioethics consist of 4 principles that justifies the processes in favor of public. These principles involve the principle of non-maleficence, beneficence, justice and respect for autonomy.
