Tommy, age 2, by choice will eat only high carbohydrate foods, preferably those that are sweet. He rejects high-protein, high-fat foods such as meats and cheese. How would you change his diet to provide adequate protein and fat for normal growth and nerve development without increasing his carbohydrate intake with high-fat pastries, cakes, and so on?

1) High protein foods like chicken, turkey, eggs and beans and they can be combined with burrito and grilled cheese sandwiches which have high carbohydrates.

2) Cut the high protein and high fat foods into small pieces as they are easy to chew.

3) Use high protein high fat food with high fiber diet such as vegetables or bread so that they are easy to digest and doesn't get stored in stomach.

4) Try various cheese for high protein but do not replace it with meat as cheese doesn't have iron.
