Radiology is a specialty using imaging studies to assess ,diagnose and find the extent of any illness in the body to provide treatment.

Radiologist is the one who is specialized in radiology.

Radiologist technologists are part of healthcare team who are trained to perform the imaging studies. They perform the diagnostic imaging and also if trained in radiation therapy treatments they provide radiation therapy treatments for cancer. They provide instruction to the patients about positioning,so that good quality image can be obtained, necessary for appropriate diagnosis to provide right treatment at right time aiming for health promotion. The field of radiology is expanding with introduction of various diseases and disabilities.

Radiologists are very important specialists for decision making process in healthcare. They help the physician and healthcare provider to confirm a diagnosis and make decision on treatment.They are very essential and part of healthcare team.
