Answer #1

Labour relations process includes

  • Recognition
  • Negotiation and
  • Administration

Recognition includes certain rights and responsibilities of the workers where they should be provided freedom eg.Joining a certain union of their interest. An union is a group of employees joining as a single unit for a purpose.

Negotiation is a second step where unions comes with certain demands and the company may or may not do it.This is a type of bargaining. This consists of certain sets of rules, policies and standards that are set between the union and the company.Unions can come with a demand of certain works which they wish to do and which they do not want to do.

Administration phase is the third phase , where negotiation should be dealt. This involves the interaction of both administration and union to discuss and settle about the negotiated terms. Some times there can arise certain disputes which should also be resolved.

All the three phases are utmost important because

  • It better deals with the problems of the employees
  • Any break down in these steps will not move further to the problem solving step.
  • Each step well defines the problems, collective bargaining and mutual cooperation between the administration and the Labour.
