There are four major phases of hacking that are listed below:
1. Reconnaissance:
It is the initial step and longer step
It is the phase in which the hacker will be targeting the victim.
Collecting information like Ip address, DNS records etc.
2. Scanning
Here they started their work by scanning all the information collected from the previous stages.
He will start mapping the network.
3. Gaining Access:
In this section he might have designed the blueprint of the targeted network with the help of the stage 1 and stage 2.
Here the scanning and enumerating will be completed and user will try to gain any access to the targeted network.
4. Maintaining Access and clear tracks:
In this section the attacker gained the access to the system, he will use this access records for the future destruction.
He will be silently watching our activities through another administration account.
To cover their tracks they will clear all mails, server logs and temp files etc.
Take away the copy of all of our mails, documents etc.
He will also manage to clear the mails from the email provider’s alert relating unauthorized access to the account.
