A. Professional accountability and ownership means taking responsibility of your acts . For example if you increased the flow rate of oxygen of a patient in view of decreased saturation then you should take the accountability of your act when the physician asks about it .

Social obligation of nurses are :-

-Establish and maintain a professional code of ethics

-Determine standards of practice

-Foster the development of nursing theory, derived from nursing research

-Establish nursing practice built on a base of best evidence

-Establish the specifications for the educational requirements for entry into professional practice at basic and advanced levels

-Develop certification processes as measures of professional competence

B. Mostly in every organisation shared decision making is utilised because of its advantages . The pros and cons of this approach are :-

Pros :-

- good cooperation among workers

- good communication skills

- everyone is allowed to give his or her views

- timely decision making

- no autocratic leadership

Cons :-

- Nothing significant
