please read this and critique this post. and ask 1 question regarding this topic.

Euthanasia is committed at the hands of a doctor and can be either voluntary or involuntary. On the other hand, physician assisted suicide, the patient is the one performing the act, therefor it can only be voluntary. Both of this topics have the same ending which is finishing a person's life, what it changes is the method used. If I have to take a position between these two, I choose euthanasia over physician assisted suicide. My election is based on the fact that in this one, it has room for those patient that can't take the decision because of the condition (coma, cerebral death, etc) Also, if the patient's life is on the health care personal, then I think, those are the one that have to perform the act of terminating the patient's life, since death is also part of it.

Answer #1

Answer: In a situation like coma, cerebral death etc, the patient can not take decisions as they are not in those states. But those patients who can take the decision to end life process can opt for the euthanasia or physician-assisted suicide. Choosing euthanasia over physician-assisted suicide as in this patients own will is involved and only the physician can advise. But taking one's life is difficult to process or task for the physician itself whether it is euthanasia or physician-assisted suicide. Is it that easy for the health care personal to do it so?

please help with this ethics assignments should respect. The word "euthanasia" draws its roots from Greek meaning "good death."
