1.Health care issue selected is obesity.
2. Obesity is one of the common medical condition in which excess fat is deposited in such an extent in the body that is has negative impact on health.
Causes - excessive food , sedentary lifestyle , lack of exercise ,genetics .
Sign and symptoms - cardiovascular symptoms like increased heart rate , hypertension , chest pain, shortness of breath, etc .
Increased BMI
Increased fat
Increased body size
Treatment - Diet , exercise regimen , medications and surgery in extreme cases.
Prevention - Societal changes ,personal choices , health habits ,strict exercise schedule , healthy diet including vegetables and fruits , increased intake of water.
Obesity was chosen as it is becoming one of the common disorder in adolescents due to unhealthy habits like eating fatty and oily foods ,fast food ,intake of beverages , sedentary lifestyle and zero exercise which is making them prone to serious health issues in their early ages.
3. Impact of the health care issue on client ,family and community
Like tobacco ,obesity causes or is closely linked with any disease condition like diabetes, hypertension , stroke , myocardial infarction, atherosclerosis etc .Obesity not only have physiological issues rather it has social and emotional impacts like discrimination , lower wages , inferiority complex, poor quality of life and all these leads to depression. Not only the patient is affected but also their family members because client is a part of them when he gets affected it directly affects family too and ultimately the society and community.
4. Conclusion from the resources is obesity is a serious health issue which needs to be plucked out of our society, as a government initiative by providing health awareness regarding healthy diet , exercise in school ,colleges , society's etc , small working units for those who are unemployed etc because if it's not made under control then the youth of our nation will be engulfed by obesity and our youth is the soul of our country . For the prosperity and progress of our country we need a healthy society and community.
