Electronic information system (EHR) provides more space to store a huge amount of patient information and it is easy to recollect the data whenever necessary, this is important in case of an emergency. However, there are some difficulties in using the EHRs by the consumers. They are,

  • As EHR includes all the patient information and is available to both patient and medical staff, the patient can know about his health condition by thoroughly following their reports. If any other person accesses the data stored on the computer, they can get the patient information. So, the consumers often express the privacy issue with using EHRs.
  • Consumers also worry about the integrity of their health information
