His lectures are in- teresting, and he's very concerned about his students. He makes the class challenging but not too hard. On tests he doesn't expect more than one can give. I think he's a great teacher. 2. Newspaper advice columns are pretty silly. The problems are generally stupid or unrealistic, and the advice is out of touch with today's world. Too often the columnist just uses the letter to make a smart remark about some pet peeve. The columns could be put to some good uses, but no one tries very hard. 3. Driving tests do not adequately examine a person's driving ability. Usually the person being tested does not have to drive very far. The test does not require the skills that are used in everyday driving situa- tions. Supervisors of driving tests tend to be very lenient 4. Nursing homes are often sad places. They are frequently located in ugly old buildings unfit for anyone. The people there are lonely and bored. What's more, they're sometimes treated badly by the people who run the homes. It's a shame something better can't be done for the elderly. 5. There is a big difference between acquaintances and friends. Acquain- tances are just people you know slightly, but friends give you some important qualities. For example, they can help you gain self-esteem and confidence just by being close to you. By sharing their friendship, they also help you feel happy about being alive. ASSIGNMENT A. I am choosing third and fifth

Driving tests are not sufficient. These tests check how well do we drive by testing our drive for few minutes in a mindset when we are prepared for being tested. In real life scenario problem is not how well do we drive problem is how others will drive and how well will I manage my driving with their mistakes. Will I be able to drive well when I am upset or when I  have been scolded by my boss or just have a break up with my girl friend.  Everyday driving situations are very different. We need to check the following:

Does a person drive badly if he is getting late for office or a meeting?

Does a person  manage if person driving ahead of him makes a mistake?

Does a person drive well even when he is tired or upset?

Does a person manage multi tasking like along with driving listening to music, taking meals while driving and chatting with other persons in the car?

Does a person drive well even in bad weather?

Does a person value traffic norms?

In fact supervisors of driving tests tend to be linient. They need to be more strict and test a candidate on varied grounds to find his level of present mindedness, patient, awareness and concentration.

Fifth

There is a difference of zero to infinite between acquaintances and friends. There can be millions of acquaintances but there are few lucky people who get even few friends in their lives. Friends are the ones whose company helps us in gaining self confidence and self esteem. They make us realize our potential, our strengths and highlight our weaknesses in such a way that w overcome the. They do not highlight our weaknesses to make us feel inferior or to criticize us. Their presence makes us feel happy and alive. They read our mind, they feel our nerves, they understand us better than we do. In my opinion, the richness of a man can be judged by the friends he is having. Having a true friend is a matter of God's grace. But then at the end of the day, you can be your own best friend. No one can always be there for you. But you can be there for yourself all the time. Problem is we need peep into our inner self for finding a true friend. We always look out and that is the problem. No one can be with you even for a single second. Physically we can be together but mentally, his thoughts are different than yours, His state of sensitivity, thought level, gratitude and understanding is all different. I know it is a hard to believe that we are all surrounded by acquaintances not friends. Be your own best friend and enjoy life without expecting anything from acquaintances.
