Our beliefs, attitudes about death, dying, grief and loss rely on how these are molded by societal dictates. In United States, Hispanics are the one with increased reported on death and dying and most of them originated from Mexican Americans. A different culture is followed by Mexican Americans, where a nurse cares for an individual at the time of death and dying is mandatory. Most of the Mexican Americans are Romans and the funeral lasts for one or two days with prayers and rituals and also the family members light up the candles for 24 hours to show respect and to show the continuation of the funeral services. There are very strong emotions at a funeral. Furthermore, the body of the dead will be cleaned and made arrangements by the family members before the funeral and also allows organ donation and sign for autopsy if necessary. They believe death as an end of the life cycle and as other cultural practices in Christianity, the follow the spirit will be in heaven, depending on what life the person had. I combination with historic beliefs in death and dying (Mayans and Aztecs) with Catholicism and missionaries brought their country had a deep religious regards for death. These acceptance is called as "The Day of the Dead". They make arrangements with skeletons and dance with instruments with a belief that there is an after life after death. Moreover, as compared to other Christian rituals, Mexicans also follows Last Communion to the near to the death person as their last rights before death.
