a) Overhead rate = Estimated overhead costs / Estimated direct labor hours

= ($600,000 + $300,000) / (20,000 + 5,000)

= $36

b) Overhead assigned = (20 * $36) + (5 * $36)

= $900

c) c1 = $600,000 / 20,000 = $30

c2 = $300,000 / 25,000 = $12

d) Overhead assigned = (16 * $30) + (5 * $12)

= $540
