5) Mass of Mg = 16.43-16.19 = 0.24 g

6) Mass of product = 18.28-16.19 = 2.09 g

7) Mass of oxygen = 2.09-0.24 = 1.85 g

8) Moles of Mg = 0.24/24 = 0.1 moles

9) Moles of oxygen = 1.85/16 = 0.11 moles

10) Moles of O is higher.

0.1moles of Mg/0.1 = 1 mole Mg

0.11/0.1 mole O = 1 mole O
