The antecubital vein (basilic vein) is the preferred choice of vein when a contrast to be administered. This is because it drains directly in to the large blood vessels namely axillary vein as it is the continuation of basilic vein. The contrast injected in right fore arm is faster when compared to left fore arm.

Hence the veins selected are

  • Basilic vein
  • Cephalic vein
  • Antecubital vain
