3. Analyze the role of institutional ethics committees.

Answer- Institutional ethics committee is a committee which is basically formed by a group of people who look out through the research protocol and give their acceptance or rejection on the basis of ethics. Basically Institutional ethics committee has three important role and they are- 1) The creation of strategy based on ethical issues in patient care.

This is important so as the patient's moral is not hurt, the family members are also satisfied ethically. Because it will create a very big problem for the hospital and its staff if they do something that the patient finds unethical

2) To educate the hospital staff, patients, family members, and the community about ethical issues and the philosophy and guidelines of the institution.

This process plays a very important role in the health care system,its very important to educate the hospital staff about ethics and the hospital guidelines so that they do not create a blunder in the hospital by doing something which is ethically incorrect and also not mentioned in the hospital's guidelines. It is equally important for the patients and their family members to co-operate with the hospital staff and learn about the hospital's guidelines.So in this way it will help in smooth functioning of the hospital without much problems.

Its really important for the patient to consult the medical practitioner before doing anything that is unethical and can create a mess. Its good for the patient only to have a consultation session which can help them to take care of their own self.
