Ans) The ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses serves the following purposes: It is a succinct statement of the ethical obligations and duties of every individual who enters the nursing profession. It is the profession's nonnegotiable ethical standard. It is an expression of nursing's own understanding of its commitment to society.

- The Modern Code of Ethics It establishes an ethical standard that is non-negotiable in all roles and in all settings. The Code is written by nurses to express their understanding of their professional commitment to society. It describes the profession's values, obligations, duties, and professional ideals.

- Similarity: These are similar as they are used in an attempt to encourage specific forms of behaviour by employees.

- Difference: With similarities, comes differences. Both are used in an attempt to regulate behavior in very different ways.
